Phoenix Rising's preseason schedule includes an intrasquad game that will double as a celebration and unveiling of the team's 2025 season uniforms.

Rising FC announced its four-game preseason Friday, with the opener set for next Saturday, Jan. 25 at San Diego's Snapdragon Stadium against new Major League Soccer club San Diego FC. Then it's on to Coachella Valley to face another MLS side, Los Angeles FC, on Feb. 2, followed by Charlotte FC on Feb. 10, also at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

Several MLS teams are spending some of their preseasons in the Coachella Valley and playing games against each other.

A game against Phoenix College is set for Feb. 15 at Phoenix Rising Soccer Stadium at 38th Street and Washington, then St. Louis City FC 2 comes to Phoenix for a Feb. 22 match.

That team develops players for the MLS club of the same name.

"Typically, teams play against USL competition during preseason, but we'll face them plenty during the season. For me, it's about testing our boys against different competition, teams that present unique challenges," Phoenix Rising head coach Pa-Modou Kah said in an announcement from the club. "Playing three MLS teams is a fantastic opportunity for our players to experience the level they're striving for and need to reach. It also allows us, as a club, to evaluate how we measure up."

Feb. 28 is the Red vs. Black intrasquad game, where each team will wear new uniforms for this season. It is the only preseason game open to the public, and starts at 7 p.m. All other matches are behind closed doors, though season ticket members can get exclusive access to the St. Louis City 2 game.

"With fans in attendance, it'll feel like a proper match, an exciting way to bring them into the experience," Kah said. "The jersey reveal adds something special for both the players and the fans, and I'm really looking forward to it."

In recent years, the club has revealed new kits at a local venue and invited fans. Last year in the preseason, the Portland Timbers of MLS played at Rising FC's stadium.

Ticket information for 2025 is available at the club's website. The regular season opener is March 8 against FC Tulsa at home.
