RAPID CITY, S.D. - Athletes from across South D akota are in Rapid City this weekend for the 2024 state cheer and dance competition. The Class 'A' competition was held on Friday evening at the Summit Arena and Class 'AA' schools will compete on S aturday . The grand champion cheer winner was the S ioux Valley Cossacks. The Cossacks, who finished 267 points, have now won the state cheer title for the 18th straight year. Meanwhile, D akota Valley won the state title in dance for the 15th straight year.
