Despite Mother Nature being less-than-accommodating, the annual Arc Downriver softball games went on as planned at Woodhaven High School in Brownstown on Sunday morning and early afternoon.

Based out of Wyandotte, Arc Downriver membership organization that works directly with children and adults within all levels of intellectual and other related developmental disabilities, and their families. Part of the local club’s efforts is the inclusion of such individuals in all facets of life, athletics included, while also embracing teamwork.

Sunday was the also the latest event of a a relationship that spans more than a decade.

The partnership between Arc Downriver and the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District began back in 2012 when the high school girls’ varsity and junior varsity teams worked together to coordinate a basketball game.
