Denver's Stapleton neighborhood has finished the process to get its name replaced, and the new name has just been revealed.

The finalist to replace Stapleton is Central Park.

Central Park beat out Skyview in the final round of voting, with 63 percent of more than 5,800 votes. Residents of the neighborhood participated in three rounds of voting throughout the last few weeks. Those in both Denver and Aurora were also eligible to cast their votes.

“It’s our sincere hope that each one of us … treats this moment with fresh eyes and a common goal to treat each other with kindness, compassion and respect,” said Amanda Allshouse, the president of the board of Stapleton United Neighbors.
