A 17-year-old boy died Thursday after being shot the day before, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

A news release states officers responded around 5:30 p.m. to the 4000 block of Clark Street, which is off Lakeside Drive, for a shooting. Three people were wounded and taken to a hospital.

Two of them suffered moderate injuries, reads the release.

But the release states the third, Corey Brooks, died Thursday afternoon.
