ST. LOUIS — A man died early Friday after his car was hit by a wrong-way driver on Interstate 64 in St. Louis.

The crash was about 1:45 a.m. on westbound I-64 near South Jefferson Avenue, police said.

Three vehicles were involved.

A Dodge Ram pickup truck was heading east in the westbound lanes of I-64. It collided with a Honda Accord, then hit a Toyota Camry.

The man driving the Honda died at the scene. Police have not released his name or age.

The driver of the Dodge pickup, a 22-year-old man, was taken to a hospital.

The man, 41, in the Toyota was not injured, police said.

Westbound lanes there were closed for about four hours while an accident-reconstruction team did its work.

Police didn't provide additional information about the driver who caused the crash.
