COCOA, Fla. – Law enforcement officials are searching the Indian River Lagoon due to a “possible drowning,” according to the Cocoa Police Department. Cocoa police said around 4:30 p.m. that they were assisting the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in the area of the Hubert Humphrey Bridge. Officials ask anyone in the area to please use caution. In addition, officers said that traffic is moving slowly in the westbound lanes of the bridge. No other details were released. Patrol units are assisting Brevard County Sheriff’s Office reference a report of a possible drowning. Traffic on the westbound HH bridge is slow moving. Please use caution.
