The baseball postseason is right around the corner, and brackets have been released for district tournaments which get underway in a couple of weeks.

Here are the matchups and locations for Jackson-area teams.

DIVISION 1

Jackson plays Battle Creek Central at Holt to open district play on May 31. The winner plays Holt or Lakeview later that day.

DIVISION 2

Western has to wait for a pre-district game between Marshall and Eaton Rapids to find out who it will face in the district semifinal May 31 at Marshall. In the other semifinal Northwest takes on Coldwater.

DIVISION 3

Homer faces Quincy in a district quarterfinal May 27 in Union City. The winner of that game moves on to the semifinal May 31 to face Union City. The other semifinal sees Centreville take on Bronson.

At Leslie on May 27, East Jackson takes on Stockbridge in a district quarterfinal. That winner advances to face Napoleon in the semifinal. Leslie plays Springport in the other semifinal.

At Lumen Christi, the host Titans have to navigate a pre-district game against Hillsdale to try to get back to East Lansing. The winner moves on to play Hanover-Horton in the district semifinal. Michigan Center plays Jonesville in the other semifinal.

Grass Lake and Manchester play each other in Clinton in a May 27 first-round matchup. Columbia Central awaits the winner. Clinton takes on Greenhills in the other district semifinal.

DIVISION 4

Vandercook Lake visits Addison for a district quarterfinal May 27. The winner will play North Adams Jerome. Concord battles Litchfield in that district’s other semifinal.
