As we inch closer to the draft, we have a better idea of how the Baltimore Ravens might approach their first-round selection. The Ravens’ biggest needs are edge rusher, defensive back, wide receiver and interior lineman, and it’s likely one of these positions will be addressed with the 27th pick.

Baltimore has 11 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. In this exercise, we will assume the Ravens stay at No. 27 and do not make any trades. I’ll go over their first-round options and how they will pivot from there in the later rounds.

We previously went over how a draft would play out if a pass rusher was selected in the first round . In our second scenario, we evaluate what the Ravens’ draft class could look like if they go with a cornerback with their top pick. Baltimore did select Nate Wiggins in the first round last season, but has not gone back-to-back at the same position since the 1998 and 1999 drafts. Ironically, they selected cornerbacks in both drafts when they made Duane Starks and Chris McAlister their top selections.

Who could be available in the first round?

Will Johnson and Jahdae Barron will likely be off the board by the Ravens are on the clock, but I can see a scenario in which GM Eric DeCosta trades up for one of them. Shavon Revel is a borderline first-round player. Some might argue Azareye’h Thomas and Benjamin Morrison are reaches in the first round.

Who are their second day options?

Edge rusher and wide receiver make the most sense here. Here are a couple players to look keep an eye on in Rounds 2 and 3.

What other needs could be addressed on draft night?

The Ravens also have needs at offensive line and safety. Developmental players can also be considered in the later rounds at quarterback, running back and linebacker.
