NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Prairie Arts Center is returning its annual “American Plains Art” exhibit this year.

First launched in 1982 by a group of artists from across the country, the exhibit aims to depict the natural beauty of the Great Plains.

Since opening in 2013, the Prairie Arts Center has hosted the exhibit.

This year, the artists that are included in the exhibit are J.J. Mcelroy, Charlie Bullock, Sherry Stuart. Lori Jones, June Dudley, Eileen Nistler, Jammey Huggins, and David Dorsey. These artists’ pieces highlight the landscapes from across the country.

The exhibit is open to the public through September 28, Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
