An updated report was issued from the National Weather Service on Monday at 4:17 p.m. for gusty showers until 5 p.m. for Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon and Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.

Residents should prepare for wind gusts of up to 55 mph.

"At 4:17 p.m., Doppler radar tracked gusty showers along a line extending from 7 miles east of Walla to near Bingham Springs. Movement was east at 45 mph," says the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects."

Locations impacted by the alert include Minam, Tollgate, Spout Springs, Bingham Springs, Ski Bluewood, Troy and Kooskooskie.

The weather service adds, "If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building."

Overloaded wiper blades can hinder visibility. If rain severely limits your sight, pull over and wait for conditions to improve. Seek refuge at rest areas or protected spots.
