CANTON − The Concert for Legends will feature a rock music act for the first time in several years when Nickelback headlines the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival event this summer.

Known for the mainstream pop rock songs "How You Remind Me," "Photograph" and "Rockstar," the Canadian band will mark the 10th anniversary of the Concert for Legends on Aug. 3 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Monday.

“We’ve announced great acts across the history of the Concert for Legends," Jim Porter, president and CEO of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, said in a prepared statement. "To host a show with the legendary band Nickelback brings an immense amount of joy to the team at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This concert will be a high-energy, powerful way to cap a great weekend.”

Accolades for Nickelback include being recognized as Billboard's Top Rock Group of the Decade for the 2000s while receiving multiple Grammy nominations and winning three American Music Awards.

The band was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2023 for being "one of the most commercially viable and important acts of the past two decades."

Prior to the Canton concert, Nickelback will be touring the country, beginning April 4 in Livingston, Louisiana, before making stops in Tennessee, Florida, Maryland and Pennsylvania in the spring. Summer tour stops include Alabama, Kentucky, Wisconsin and South Carolina.

Nickelback will be performing as part of the Rock the Country music festival this year in a lineup featuring Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr. and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Nickelback's most popular song is the 2001 release, "How You Remind Me," which was named Billboard's Top Rock Song of the Decade and has the distinction of being the most-played song on U.S. radio for all formats in the 2000s.

Last year, the band released the album "Live From Nashville."
