PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island’s Congressional Delegation is delivering over $20 million dollars in federal funding this morning to fund repairs for Providence’s Amtrak Station.

Providence’s station is the 11th most utilized in the country.

The delegation will join the Rhode Island Department of Transportation Director Peter Alviti and Amtrak officials to discuss the renovation project, and how the station will be upgraded.

The announcement will happen at 11 a.m. on Gaspee Street.
