A broadcast ministry overseen by President William Gehm has signed off on the sale of a pair of FM translators, one in Atlanta and the other in Rockmart, Ga.

But, Radio By Grace will still very much be involved in the operation of the LPFM serving Georgia’s largest metropolitan area.

W257DF at 99.3 MHz in Atlanta, which serves the city’s center and eastern immediate suburbs, is being sold by Radio by Grace to Georgia Radio Alliance for $30,000.

But, terms call for the buyer to change the FM translator’s primary station to New Ground Broadcasting’s WYZE-AM 1480 , a Black Gospel station serving the market that on March 25 was granted an engineering STA designed to get full operations back up and running.

W257DF has been the home of Steve Hegwood’s “Old School 99.3,” circa 2014-2015. It is fed off of WUBL-FM 94.9 HD3.

The $30,000 payment is due in full at closing and is to be held in escrow by John C. Trent.

Meanwhile, Radio By Grace is also selling W270CE, licensed to Rome, Ga., but serving the city of Rockmart to the southeast. The buyer is Heirborn Broadcasting, which is paying $8,500 for the FM translator. TitleFact Inc. is holding $8,000 in non-refundable funds in escrow. The remainder is due at closing.
