COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - After widespread showers and storms Monday, chances for rain are slowly decreasing the rest of this week.

Good morning! After dealing with widespread showers and storms for our First Alert Weather Day, chances for rain are beginning to decrease. We’re waking up with patchy fog that’ll hang around through mid-morning. Then, we’ll watch for the development of widely scattered showers with a few rumbles of thunder during the late-afternoon and evening hours. High temperatures will top out around 80 degrees.

The low pressure system responsible for these showers and storms moves farther up the Eastern Seaboard Wednesday. During the afternoon and evening, we’ll have another round of isolated showers and thunderstorms.

We’re drying out for the end of this week, but temperatures will crank up once again. High pressure to our south will promote a southwest wind, allowing warmer air to take control quickly. By Friday and into the upcoming weekend, high temperatures will make a run at 90 degrees!
