Popular national chain chicken restaurant Raising Cane's is set to make its debut in Wichita next year.

Raising Cane’s confirmed in May that the new location will be located at the corner of Ridge Road and West University Street , just north of Kellogg.

"Raising Cane’s is excited to bring it’s ONE LOVE – Craveable Chicken Finger meals – to Wichita!" Raising Cane's said.

According to the Wichita Business Journal , construction is slated to begin in December at the former Pizza Hut Italian Bistro space and an opening date in summer or fall 2025.

This will be the first Raising Cane's location in Wichita. The chain has over 700 restaurants in 24 states, including four other locations in Kansas.

Popular local food blogger Wichita By E.B. first broke the news earlier this year of Raising Cane's coming to Wichita.

Another highly-anticipated national brand arrival in Wichita, Whataburger , was put on hold until at least 2026 or 2027, WBJ reported.
