Party like a flockstar, meet other flamingo fans, and shake your tailfeather (standing on one leg is optional).

If you love flamingos, and want to get to know both the birds and fellow fans up close and personal, the zoo has a new event for you!

Flamingle After Dark, on August 15, from 6 to 10 p.m., is an adults-only, after-hours dance party with a pink-feathered focus. The party will include bumpin’ beats, day-glow vibes, a bevy of pink drinks, and more (bungee trampoline, anyone?). Check out the full list below:

What the Flock to Expect:

  • Up-Close Animal Encounters
  • Bungee Trampoline
  • Flamboyance Bar
  • DJ + Dancing
  • Body Art
  • Food Trucks
  • Animal Demonstrations
  • Keeper Talks
  • Conservation Stations
  • Conservation Carousel (additional cost)

The highlight of the event is the opportunity to get close with the zoo's fabulous flamingo flock. In addition, there will be conservations stations and keeper talks, where you can learn more about the Denver Zoo's work to ensure the viability of flamingo populations across the world.

"Come party for the planet and learn about our work with flamingos here and in the wild. Pink attire encouraged; standing on one leg optional," says the zoo. "Nothing makes you tingle like a night to flamingle!"

The Flamingle event is open to anyone over the age of 21. Tickets are now $25 for non-members and $20 for members. The event will take place rain or shine, so prepare accordingly!

If you want to take the experience up a notch, you can also buy tickets for Behind-the-Scenes Animal Encounter. The $85 ticket gets you admission to Flamingle, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour with your choice of Rudy the Black Rhino or the Benson Predator Ridge exhibit, which houses wild dogs, lions, and spotted hyenas.
