The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of an infant support product. The Boppy Infant Head and Neck Support Accessory has been recalled because it could be a suffocation hazard. The head support area of the accessory could be overstuffed and cause the baby’s head to tilt too far forward, possibly causing suffocation. The product should be returned to the point of purchase for a full refund.
The Boppy Company is known for its popular U-shaped breastfeeding pillows. The Boppy Infant Head and Neck Support Accessory came in two colors, ebony floral and heathered gray. The corresponding model numbers are 4150114 and 4150117 and are printed on the back of the product.
The Boppy Infant Head and Neck Support is designed to be used in swings, bouncers, and strollers. The product was sold in stores and online at Target, Buy Buy Baby, Amazon and other retailers from March 2019 through May 2019.
