Ikea has issued a worldwide voluntary recall of their MATVRÅ 2-pack of baby bibs for an issue with the fasteners becoming detached.

To date, Ikea has received two complaints of the snaps coming undone on their own, making the bib a choking hazard if a child is left unattended while wearing one. No injuries have been reported yet, and neither of the complaints originated in the U.S.

The products included in this recall are the MATVRÅ blue and red bibs that are sold as a set of two. They each have a contrasting edge detail and a snap closure. The item description and model number are MATVRÅ Bib- Blue/Red 2pk, 504.269.20. They currently sell for $3.99 on the Ikea website.

It is important to note that the other bibs in the MATVRÅ collection, including the yellow and green fruit- or vegetable-patterned ones, are not included in this voluntary recall. They are made of different materials and are not constructed the same way.
