UPDATE: The Reds and Cardinals resumed their game at 3:15 p.m. following a delay of one hour and 37 minutes.

Previous: Rain continued to be a theme in the Cincinnati Reds -St. Louis Cardinals four-game series on Thursday.

After the Tuesday game was rained out and a doubleheader played Wednesday, Thursday's 12:40 p.m. game entered a rain delay with the Reds leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning at Great American Ball Park.

Andrew Abbott started the game for the Reds. Matthew Liberatore was the starter for the Cardinals.

The Reds pulled the tarp over the field around 1:40 p.m. and didn't provide an estimate on when the game would resume.

At around 2:50 p.m., the Reds announced the game was expected to resume around 3:15 p.m.
