The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) has suspended the license of a nursing assistant who was arrested for allegedly assaulting an elderly patient.

According to RIDOH, Lovely Soloe was charged this May for assault on a person over 60 - a felony - stemming from an incident in April.

She is also facing a felony patient abuse charge.

On April 24, 2024, Soloe was employed as a nursing assistant at a nursing facility, and reportedly pushed and restrained a 78- year-old dementia patient in her care.

Court records show Soloe has a pre-arraignment scheduled for November and a pre-trial conference in February.

Soloe’s nursing assistant license is suspended for a period of 30 calendar days.
