RICHMOND, Vt. (WCAX) - The town of Richmond is backing out of a plan to hire the former Hinesburg police chief. Now, the town says they are not going forward with Cambridge for chief. VTDigger reports Cambridge is under scrutiny by town and police officials for deleting police security footage and shredding documents in the days leading up to his departure. Richmond Town Manager Josh Arneson said in a statement that they will not comment on any details because it is a “personnel matter.”
