On Sunday, the NTT IndyCar Series will take to the World Wide Technology Raceway in Missouri for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500. World Wide Technology Raceway, located just outside St. Louis, Missouri, in the Metro East city of Madison, Illinois, is an intriguing 1.25-mile (2.01 km) oval favored by many drivers due to its unique shape and varying degrees of banking in each corner. The track’s egg shape, reminiscent of the oval at Twin Ring Motegi, and the characteristics of turns 1 and 2 similar to those of New Hampshire Motor Speedway, while Turns 3 and 4 are identical to those of Phoenix Raceway.

The Bommarito Automotive Group 500 has a rich history. The event was first held as a CART series race from 1997 to 2000, initially on Memorial Day weekend. From 2001 to 2003, it was held as an Indy Racing League (IRL) event. After a hiatus of over a decade, the race made a triumphant return in 2017 as part of the unified IndyCar Series.
