Salisbury, MD is another bustling part of the Eastern Shore! The city is home to Salisbury University, The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, and more. The city also hosts many exciting events for the community through the year. Some of these events, like the ones that will be listed below, will be perfect for active people who are ready to embrace the new, warmer season!

Annual Salisbury Bike partY

When: April 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Where (Starting Point): 200 S. Division Street Cost: Free [caption id="attachment_8550" align="aligncenter" width="960"]Salisbury Courtesy of Salisbury Bike PartY (Facebook)[/caption] Salisbury will soon be hosting their second Annual Salisbury Bike partY and all ages and levels of expertise are invited. The ride is set at an easy pace and goes on for six miles, starting in Downtown Salisbury in Lot 1, going through various locations in the city, and ending back at the starting point. The event also includes other activities ranging from a pop-up skatepark to an opportunity to sell your unwanted bikes and bike parts. Zoo Stampede

When: April 21 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Where (Starting Point): 755 S. Park Drive Cost: $20 for participants who pre-register at VP Shoes/The Salisbury Zoo | $25 for participants who register the day of the race at the Zoo's East Gate [caption id="attachment_8551" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Salisbury Courtesy of Salisbury Zoo (website)[/caption] The Zoo is a staple in the community and is a favorite place of mine for the beautiful environment and the plethora of unique animals there. Which you will get a chance to enjoy if you register for the Zoo Stampede. The Zoo Stampede welcomes walkers and runners alike from ages 12-70 and above to complete the race starting at the Zoo's East Gate. Prizes will be awarded to the people who finish first in each age category. There are also different types of t-shirts that will given to the first 150 participants and the first 150 applicants! RunSBY

When: April 28 from 6:30 a.m. to 4:11 p.m. (when the last runner is allowed on the course) Where (Starting Point): 521 S. Park Drive Cost: Varies on whether the participant is running half the marathon or the full marathon [caption id="attachment_8552" align="aligncenter" width="960"]Salisbury Courtesy of Salisbury Marathon (Facebook)[/caption] The RunSBY is a big marathon event in the community that welcomes runners from all over. The RunSBY marathon starts in the Salisbury City Park and comes to an end in Downtown. In between the start and finish, the marathoners will get the chance to see the natural beauty and sights the city has to offer.
