WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Salisbury City Councilmember, Michele Gregory has announced a run for Wicomico County Executive.

This morning, Gregory laid out her plans for the campaign. The seat is currently occupied by Julie Giordano, who announced last month that she would be running for re-election.

Gregory said her campaign will focus on reaching her constituents where they are, and if elected, she hopes to use the position to reach officials in Annapolis.

“I realized how imperative it is to have somebody who understands the issues of people, everyday people in our county, and voicing for those people to the Governor’s office to Annapolis, exactly what we need here on the shore,” said Gregory.

The election will take place in the fall of 2026.
