Sammy Hagar played the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2025 auto auction on Friday, Jan. 17, a year after crashing the stage at WestWorld of Scottsdale with Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony to join Red Voodoo in blowing the dust off several of his greatest hits, from Montrose and Van Halen classics to crowd-pleasing solo recordings as timeless as “There’s Only One Way to Rock” and “I Can’t Drive 55.”

Hagar's performance this year was billed as a Rock the Block concert with Sammy Hagar & Friends .

Those friends included go-to bassist Michael Anthony, Vic Johnson of The BusBoys (and Hagar’s Wabaritos) on guitar and Kenny Aronoff, a session ace who rose to fame as the drummer for John Mellencamp when he was John Cougar.
