Colorado is competing against New Mexico for the first Chile License Plate. Do you think we’ll be the ones to have a new Colorado license plate?

Colorado and New Mexico have been debating back and forth on which state should be the first with the chile license plate. Colorado’s bill passed on Tuesday to keep things moving along smoothly on the new Colorado license plate. Rightfully so, there is a large interest from the Pueblo Chile Growers Association in who will get the right to . Colorado’s argument is that the Pueblo Chile is in fact Colorado’s chile because it is locally grown and growers deserve to be noticed for their amazing work. This is a very respected point, but New Mexico feels just as entitled for the honor. [gallery ids="9803,9802"]
Democratic House Representatives stated that “Colorado shouldn’t be proud of their chiles because New Mexico is the chile capital of the United States.” Their voice was heard and the House gave voice-vote approval to the fast-tracked bill. It will now progress to a third vote in the house. What do you think? Are you in favor of a Chile Colorado License Plate?
