COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - An incoming cold front will bring a round of much-needed rain to most of South Carolina. Good morning! After a fantastic forecast over the weekend, our next cold front drops in this morning, bringing with it a round of scattered showers. Unless you’re driving later this morning, most of us will be settled in at work or school by the time our rain arrives. From late-morning through the early afternoon, scattered showers with a rumble or two of thunder will move across the region. This afternoon behind our cold front, we’ll watch for a shower or two to attempt to redevelop, but most of us will stay dry. Cloud cover lingers throughout the day, which will limit our high temperatures. They’ll top out around 70 degrees. Our forecast rebounds quickly for the middle of this week! Wednesday into Thursday, another weak cold front will drop in. This one will be moisture-starved, which means a round of rain will be hard to come by. It’ll be successful in dropping our temperature, with lows falling into the 40s and highs only around 70 degrees. Today: Rounds of scattered showers, mainly before 1 PM. Chance of rain 60%. Highs in the low-70s. Tonight: Skies partially clear out overnight. Lows drop into the mid-40s. Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper-70s. Wednesday: Mostly sunny skies. Highs in the mid-70s. Thursday : Lots of sunshine. A tad cooler, with highs around 70 degrees. Friday: Partly cloudy skies. Highs near 80 degrees. . .
