Seattle Fire Department crews have blocked all lanes on Seventh Avenue between Pine and Union as they investigate a fire in the kitchen of the Cheesecake Factory near the Seattle Convention Center.

At least 17 Fire Department vehicles and 100 firefighters descended on the area after receiving 911 calls at 9:09 a.m. Teams went floor by floor through the six-story building on the 700 block of Pike Street. SFD posted on X that no one was injured. The fire is under control, and crews are now working to ventilate the smoke.

The fire did disrupt Sakura-Con, an anime convention.
