ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A judge is expected to sentence a teenager for killing a beloved Albuquerque Academy student at a house party. Police say Cruz Medina was among five teens who drove by and fired at a house party in the Pat Hurley Neighborhood in 2022. The teens had just been kicked out of the party. The shooting left Jada Gonzales dead. Gonzales had just received a full scholarship to college at the time of her murder. Cruz Medina faces up to 24 years in prison.
