A severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the National Weather Service in Jacksonville at 2:06 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21.

The warning applies to Baker, Duval and Nassau counties in Florida and Charlton and Ware counties in Georgia.

Meteorologists warn of winds as strong as 60 mph.

Use caution. Officials warn of hail as large as 0.75 inches.

The NWS warns: "For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building."

Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Duval, Baker, Nassau counties



At 2:06 p.m. ET, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northwest of St. George, or 12 miles west of Hilliard, moving southeast at 35 mph.
