The Miami Dolphins could really use an offensive lineman who can play guard or tackle and Missouri's Armand Membou would be a home run with the 13th pick in the first round of the NFL Draft .

Membou, 6-foot-4, 332 pounds, played right tackle at Missouri.

But Membou has the athleticism and range to succeed in Miami's zone blocking run scheme.

Consider how successful college tackle Robert Hunt has been at right guard for the Dolphins and Panthers since making a transition from right tackle.

Case for Dolphins drafting Armand Membou

Membou is such a talented player he could be selected anywhere between No. 4 and No. 12, so this could be rendered a moot point.

Membou is athletic, agile and quick. Scouts say he finishes his blocks with an edge.

The Dolphins need more linemen who finish blocks with an edge. Membou is fluid and a potential major contributor in the run game.

Dolphins general manager Chris Grier must consider the best available offensive lineman. Membou sliding is a dream scenario.

Case against Dolphins drafting Armand Membou

It's uncertain that Membou would be as dominant at guard as he is at tackle.

Membou is unfinished from a technique and strength perspective.

Some wonder how dominant Membou will be in pass protection against thick, powerful defensive tackles.

As much as guard is an immediate need, if cornerback Will Johnson of Michigan or Jahdae Barron of Texas were available, some might say Grier needs to prioritize drafting a starter at that position.

Guard or cornerback? If it's an on-the-clock choice, that's good for Miami.
