With Elvis Dumervil approaching free agency, the former Bronco could prove valuable to the organization once again.
Like a fine wine or scotch, Elvis Dumervil is aging nicely. He may not be as strong as he once was, but he does bring an element of veteran leadership that the Broncos desperately need. And with the recent retirement of Bronco's defensive powerhouse Demarcus Ware, Elvis Dumervil may be the right man to take his place. [gallery size="large" ids="11276,11277"] In his ten-year career, Dumervil has had 99 sacks (27 of those occurred when he was in Denver). Plus in 2009, Dumervil led the league in sacks with a total of 17. The best part? He's had record-breaking performances with the Ravens, and he has no intention of stopping. Even at 33, he still poses to be a formidable force and would not be a bad investment if the Broncos decide to follow through with him. If anything, he'll be a fantastic mentor to help Miller keep the Broncos' defense sharp.
A Dumervil-Miller duo would be a quarterback's worst nightmare. If the stars align, there is still no guarantee Dumervil would agree to even come back to Denver. Contract negotiations have been tumultuous in the past to say the least, and Baltimore may pitch him an offer he can't refuse.
