HOXIE, Kan. (WIBW) - A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a missing man from Sheridan County in northwest Kansas, officials said Monday morning.

The man was identified as 88-year-old Duane E. Wente.

According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, which issued the Silver Alert, Wente was last seen on around 3 a.m. Monday.

He was driving a gold 2011 Chrysler Town and Country minivan bearing Kansas tag ANN37 and was reported to be traveling in an unknown direction.

Wente is a white male who is 5-feet-6 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.

He is possibly wearing glasses, blue jeans, a brown plaid shirt and a gray windbreaker.

Authorities said Wente has dementia.
