Sites and time for the remaining Wyoming Valley Conference teams playing in the state playoffs have been released. Both the Wyoming Area field hockey team and the Dallas boys soccer team have reached the semifinal round. Wyoming Area will take on Boiling Springs on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Milton Area High School in the Class 1A semifinals. Wyoming Area is the No. 1 seed out of District 2 and defeated Wyomissing, 4-0, and Susquenita, 4-0, to advance. The Warriors are 20-0 on the season. Boiling Springs is the No. 2 seed out of District 3 and defeated Midd-West, 10-0, and Faith Christian, 4-1 to improve to 19-5 on the season. The winner will advance to Saturday’s state championship game at Chapman Field at Cumberland Valley High School at 11 a.m. to play either Newport or West Perry.Also Tuesday, Dallas will play Radnor at 6 p.m. at Whitehall High School in a Class 3A semifinal. Dallas is the No. 1 seed out of District 2 and defeated Selinsgrove, 3-1 and Jim Thorpe, 2-1, to reach the semifinals. The Mountaineers are 18-4-1 on the season. Radnor, the No. 1 seed out of District 1, defeated Kennard Dale, 3-0 and Archbishop Ryan, 4-1. Radnor is 19-3 on the season. The winner will advance to Friday’s state championship game at 10 a.m. at Eagle View Middle School in Mechanicsburg against either Conrad Weiser or Moon. As far as football is concerned, Wyoming Area will play Scranton Prep on Friday night at 7 for the District 2 Class 3A championship. All the other teams from District 2 will be participating in the state football playoffs. Those games include: in Class 1A, Lackawanna Trail will play Muncy at 7 at Scranton Memorial Stadium; in 2A, Riverside will play Lansdale Catholic at 7 at Mid Valley High School; in 4A, Valley View will host Pope John Paul II at 7; and Abington Heights will play in the 5A playoffs against Hollidaysburg at 7 at Milton High School.
