Two winter sports events will take over Denver's Sculpture Park. Snowboard on the Block and First Chair Festival are coming on October 7 and 14.
It's September, and winter is coming faster than you'd expect. Snowboard on the Block and First Chair Festival, two winter sports events, will be ruling Denver's Sculpture Park. The two weekends will be filled with live music, film premieres, mind-blowing gear deals, and even a one-of-a-kind rail jam which will host snowboarders and skiers over two weekends.
Whether you ride with two sticks or one, either weekend is perfect for you to get your winter fix before the season truly starts. Both events will have Denver's favorite food trucks, local craft breweries, amazing deals on all the gear you could need for the upcoming season, interactive booths, and so much more! Both events will also host renowned riders for meet-and-greets and you'll get a chance to watch them ride the rail that will be set up in the park.

Powder Magazine and Newschoolers will be hosting the First Chair Festival on October 7, and it is pretty much the skiing equivalent of Snowboard on the Block. In past years, the event has been held in Salt Lake, but it has made its big move to downtown Denver. First Chair Festival will host live music, featuring Air Traffic Controller, a giant pop-up retail experience, product giveaways (of course), and ski film premiers. Both events will obviously be filled with all the winter sports-loving goodness you could ever want. Attendees can buy a GA ticket, or you could spring for VIP access to skip the lines, get a meal ticket, and even secure a well-stocked goody bag (plus some more surprises!). Artist announcements are still to come, so keep an eye out for more updates if you're still on the fence about attending!
