ST. LOUIS — The region could see a dusting of snow overnight and into Monday, possibly making for slick driving conditions during the morning commute, local forecasters predicted.

The National Weather Service in St. Louis expects less than an inch of snow, but it could stick to cold roads and untreated surfaces. The most snow is expected between 6 and 10 a.m., said meteorologist Lydia Jaja.

"We could see lighter snow before that, but the real meat of it is going to be in that period," Jaja said.

The weather service recommended drivers check the forecast before leaving home.

About 4 inches of snow fell Saturday along the Interstate 70 and Interstate 64 corridors in Missouri and Illinois, the weather service reported.

St. Louis set a new daily snowfall record for Nov. 30 at 3.2 inches, beating the previous record of 2.4 inches set in 2008.
