As we head into Thursday, isolated showers and thunderstorms are on the radar after 1 pm with temperatures soaring near 92 degrees. With the wind picking up, reaching 15 mph and gusts possibly up to 25 mph, a hazard may loom on an otherwise typical sunny day in the Midwest. The Hazardous Weather Outlook stresses that there's a chance of thunderstorms from Thursday through Friday night, then again from Sunday through Tuesday. There's also a talk of a more severe weather threat on Thursday evening particularly across southeastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois with Friday potentially bringing more severe conditions across a broader area. "All severe hazards are possible," the forecast warns, outlining that the threat extends to numerous counties across both Missouri and Illinois.
