CLAYTON — The St. Louis County Council will consider using $520,000 in NFL Rams settlement money to pay for costs related to the April 8 election.

The council needs to pay for Proposition B, which will ask voters if the council should have the ability to fire county department heads.

Council Chair Rita Heard Days, D-Bel-Nor, proposed using settlement money to cover the costs.

Expenses include paying pollworkers, renting trucks to deliver equipment to polling places, renting polling places, postage and printing, said Rick Stream, Republican director for the county Election Board.

The council meets Tuesday afternoon.
