Police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying two suspects connected to a theft at a Family Dollar store in The Gate neighborhood. The crime occurred shortly after 11:35 a.m. on April 27. A closer look at the case details reveals that on the day of the incident, two female suspects entered the store, one cradling a baby's car seat. Within approximately 10 minutes, they abruptly departed with the stolen goods. Witnesses described a hasty escape in an red 2005 Toyota Matrix bearing Missouri license plate "AK1-A1A." The descriptions provided suggest that the suspects are both black females in their late-20s, with one displaying short black hair and the other longer braids, as per St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department . Surveillance footage from the store is aiding detectives in this search. The images of the suspects have been shared by the police in an effort to garner tips from the community. The first suspect is characterized as being in her approximate late-20s, and about 5'04" to 5’05" in height, while her accomplice is similarly aged and slightly taller, standing around 5'06" to 5’07".
