Jaylen Petty, a four-star prospect in the Class of 2025, announced his decommitment from Stanford. On Thursday, Petty shared an Instagram post about it, posting a picture of himself dunking with the caption "AGTG✝️." Petty is a 6-foot guard from Rainier Beach in Auburn, Washington. According to On3's final Class of 2025 rankings, he is No. 160 nationally, the No. 21 point guard and No. 1 prospect in Washington. Petty received offers from several programs: Seattle, Washington, Portland, Oklahoma, UC Santa Barbara, San Diego, UNLV, Stanford, Fresno State, Pepperdine and Montana. He committed to the New Mexico Lobos on Sept. 20 after an official visit on Sept. 6, but decommitted in March. Petty pledged to Stanford in April. Losing Petty is a huge blow to the Cardinal. However, they still have solid backcourt depth with Jeremy Dent-Smith, Ebuka Okorie, Anthony Batson, Benny Gealer and Ryan Agarwal.
