Our next low-pressure system is tracking closer and will arrive this evening in northwest Kansas.

Strong southerly winds are being pulled into the region ahead of the low, prompting Fire Weather Warnings for southwest Kansas.

Wind Advisories are in place for our Panhandle counties through midnight.

A cold front will track across the state following behind the passing low. This boundary will try to bring moisture into northern Kansas by Friday morning. With temperatures dropping as northerly winds rush in behind the front, we could see a few snowflakes in our northernmost counties.

Moisture will struggle to push farther south into the state, staying primarily along and north of the I-70 corridor.

Temperatures will be a wide range across the state tomorrow depending on how quickly the front drops south. Northern zones will be cool in the 30s and 40s while those south of I-70 will reach into the 50s and 60s.

The beginning of next week looks gorgeous with highs in the 70s and plenty of sunshine.
