Another round of scattered showers and storms moving across Kansas this morning will bring a damp start to Memorial Day for many.

Expecting to keep it cloudy and cool today, with highs in the 50s and 60s for most, perhaps a low 70 or two along the Oklahoma state line.

Rain coverage decreases through midday but there will still be a few lingering showers. A Flood Watch remains in effect for south-central to southeastern Kansas until 7 PM.

Another round of showers and storms fires up to the southwest tonight, favoring areas near the Oklahoma state line with the highest rain chances.

Severe storm chances are low, mostly expected to remain south of the state line.

Overnight temperatures fall into the 40s and 50s.

A bit of lingering moisture may be around Tuesday morning, but overall drier conditions are expected to develop. Peeks of sunshine will be possible, but there will still be plenty of clouds hanging around.

Tuesday evening looks quiet and dry. Into Wednesday, another disturbance swings into the plains and generates another round of showers and storms Wednesday evening across western Kansas.

This activity spreads south and east, with the best chance for central Kansas arriving on Thursday.

Temperatures rise as we dry out toward next weekend, with highs rising back into the 70s and 80s.
