Sunny skies are in the forecast for Mother’s Day, with light winds across eastern Kansas, and becoming gusty across the western part of the state. Afternoon highs will reach the lower 80s. South winds will gust between 30 and 40 mph across northwest Kansas.Temperatures will get even warmer for the week ahead with highs reaching the mid 80s starting on Tuesday. Wednesday it will feel like Summer, and will be the warmest day of the week with highs reaching the lower 90s for much of the state.Rain chances will remain on hold through the week ahead.
