FOXBOROUGH, MA — The stage is set for the NCAA men's lacrosse season finale.

The Final Four will take place on Saturday, May 24th at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Both Syracuse and Cornell will be in attendance - and are just one win each away from facing each other in the national championship game.

With the results of Sunday's games, both teams learned their opponent for the semifinals.

Syracuse (13-5) will face second-seeded Maryland (13-3) on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., while Cornell (16-1) will take on No. 5 Penn State (12-4) at 12:00 p.m.

Syracuse topped Princeton in a 19-18 quarterfinals win that was a shootout against the Tigers. Joey Spallina enjoyed the home cooking on his native Long Island, leading SU with eight points on four goals and four assists. Spallina leads the Orange to their first Final Four berth since 2013.

Maryland topped Georgetown 9-6 on Sunday to advance to the semifinals - and the Terrapins have been a thorn in Syracuse's side for years. Maryland beat SU 11-7 in College Park earlier this season and is headed to championship weekend for the second straight season. The Orange have lost seven straight to Maryland dating back to 2011, including multiple NCAA Tournament games.

Syracuse is 3-0 in rematch games this postseason.

As for Cornell, there's only one game that the Big Red want back this season- and they'll get another crack at it.

Cornell's lone loss of the year came at the hands of Penn State in overtime back in February. The Big Red will now get a chance to avenge that loss, after Penn State topped Notre Dame 14-12 to advance to the semifinals.

Both games will air back to back on ESPN2.
