Taco Bell fans in Southern California will be able to get something interesting at the drive-thru this summer. The taco chain is testing two new Cheez-It items. Yes, Cheez-Its.
Taco Bell’s test kitchen is taking the Tostada and Crunchwrap Supreme and adding in a giant Cheez-It cracker. The Cheez-It menu items will only be available at the Barranca Parkway location in Irvine, California, for two weeks. So if you live in the area, jump on this while you still can!
"This partnership is a true testament to Cheez-It’s continued success and commitment to innovation," said Stefanie Miller, President, Away From Home, Kellogg Company. “We’re excited to incorporate Cheez-It—made with 100% real cheese—into Taco Bell favorites and deliver customers a bold, cheesy twist on the iconic chain's go-to menu staples.”
The Cheez-Its created for Taco Bell are 16 times bigger than the original and boost the cheese factor found in these two Mexican specialties.

The Big Cheez-It Tostada includes a giant Cheez-It topped with seasoned beef, lettuce, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, and reduced-fat sour cream. The Crunchwrap Supreme is made with seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and a giant Cheez-It, all wrapped in a flour tortilla and grilled. The Big Cheez-It Tostada is $2.49 and the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme is $4.29.
Both products can only be purchased by placing an order through the website or mobile app.
This isn’t the first time Taco Bell has added a popular snack product to one of its menu items. In 2012, Taco Bell made a taco shell out of Doritos and it was an instant hit. The Doritos Loco Taco became a regular menu item and has been offered in Cool Ranch and Flamin’ Hot.
