One of the biggest culinary gatherings in the area is back -- Taste of Bethesda will serve up on Saturday, October 7, in the heart of downtown.

Located just blocks from the Bethesda Metro Station, this afternoon long food fest will satisfy your hunger. Beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m., close to 50 restaurants will be participating and serving up some of their most famous dishes. Hot spots like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse will be serving up prime beef sliders, Paisano's Pizza has their jumbo slices, and even Georgetown Cupcakes will be serving up their famous red velvet cupcakes and even a pumpkin spice cupcake! This is a great opportunity to try dishes from restaurants that are often hard to get to or can just be too expensive. Enjoy desserts galore from Haagen Dazs and the Original Pancake House. You may need a minute to digest everything, so I recommend taking a quick break and stretching your legs to go see some of the entertainment. Five large stages will have local bands, and even some high profile names like Lea Morris, taking the stage throughout the day. Many dancers are expected to perform, including Carpathia Folk Dance Ensemble, Nomad Dancers, Soul in Motion and Wild Zappers. The Taste of Bethesda is free, but please note that if you want to try any of the tasty treats, you will have to pay for tickets. Four tickets cost $5. For more information, explore Taste of Bethesda's website here. Will we see you there?
