Do you consider yourself a foodie? Do you like to "day-drink" and people-watch? Then you should check out Taste of Georgetown on Sunday, September 24!
For the 24th year, the annual Washingtonian Taste of Georgetown will welcome thousands of food lovers to the Georgetown Waterfront to sample all the culinary delights the neighborhood offers! When: Sunday, September 24 | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Where: K Street NW between Wisconsin Avenue and Thomas Jefferson Street (Georgetown Waterfront) What to do: Try out signature dishes (60 will be featured) from over 30 of Georgetown’s amazing dining establishments. Restaurants will have booths set up showcasing their best creations, and you can stroll through the festival and get small tastes of all you’re interested in. Make sure you check out the giant life-sized paella at the Bodega Spanish Tapas and Lounge booth, sliders in various flavors at Via Umbria and Pinstripes, and all the cupcakes your heart desires at Sprinkles and Georgetown Cupcakes. This year, the festival will feature beer and wine that you can enjoy while walking around (can’t say no to that!). Also, if you’re really, really into eating, there will be several eating competitions in which you can partake. Each will last two minutes, and essentially the purpose is to stuff your face more than the next guy, with anything from donuts to macaroons. There will be a total of four competitions, so you can pick your poison.

How to get tickets: You have two options when it comes to ticketing. You can either purchase pre-sale tickets, or day-of tickets for a slightly higher price. The ticket structure is a little different from other festivals -- you can purchase five food tickets for $22, eight for $33, or 11 for $44 (this is for pre-sale tickets, prices on-site will vary).
