A 17-year-old boy was shot Tuesday afternoon in northeast Baltimore.

City police said officers were called shortly before 2 p.m. to the 5700 block of Northwood Drive for a shooting.

Police said officers found the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds. The teen was taken to a hospital; his condition was not immediately released.

Investigators said they believe the teen was shot inside a house in the 1100 block of East Belvedere Avenue and ran to Northwood Drive.
