PHOENIX (AZFamily) —Temperatures will continue to rise into the weekend. Today’s highs will reach the upper 80s with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will also be above normal in the high country today, with some passing clouds and breeze picking up from the southwest at 10-20 mph. Some clouds will move in overnight into Sunday, but these clouds won’t stop another warm day. Sunday’s highs will reach around 88 degrees. The ridge of high pressure will strengthen on Monday, with highs rising to 95. With the record at 94 for Monday, there is a chance that this record will be broken. The warmest day of next week appears to be Tuesday, with a high of 98; the record for Tuesday is 96, so there is also a decent chance we will break that record. If we happen to hit 100 on Tuesday, it would break the record for the earliest date in the year to 100 by one day. The current “earliest to 100” is March 26, 1988. Temperatures stay warm mid-week, in the mid-90s, followed by a slight drop on Thursday and Friday, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. See a spelling or grammatical error in our story?
